Times: Exmoor's endangered species include deer, dogs and drinkers
Simon de Bruxelles. Peter Hendrie, of the White Horse Hotel in Exford, said he felt betrayed by Alun Michael, who had made three visits to the area to discuss the consequences of a ban on hunting. He said: I was at a private meeting at which he agreed that Exmoor was a special case and that hunting was of vital importance to the area, but it appears he took no notice of what he was told, not just by people like myself but by the National Park Authority and the Exmoor Society, both of which opposed a ban.
